Elaine Holmstrom – Hopewell Hill, NB

Elaine Holmstrom is an 84-year-old who runs a full time baking business and bed and breakfast in New Brunswick. In the summer, Elaine makes over 100 pies a month while still entertaining guests and making them a hearty breakfast. She credits her longevity and strength to good genes, strong faith and finding something she loves to do.

Meet Elaine…

Irma Vandenburg

In 2023 Irma will turn 87. She has been manager of her local food bank for many years and is a very active volunteer who can be found organizing shelves, bagging items and being very involved in the operation. She is very active in her church, singing at various functions and enjoying friendships she has developed there. Irma was a member of the Lions Club when it was active in her community.

Irma doesn’t know what it means to slow down. She can still be found working in her garden and doing chores. She is definitely a prime example of a Silver Warrior.

Adrienne Sharp – Alma, NB

Adrienne is the Founder of Silver Warriors. She believes people over 65 should be recognized for their strength, wisdom and endurance. At 69 she continues to work full time as a video producer/writer, hikes the trails in Fundy National Park and surrounding area on a daily basis while pursuing hobby photography. She also golfs and plays Pickleball a couple of times a week. She is on the Board of the Friends of Fundy and The Alma Collective, a committee that organizes events in Alma, the small fishing village that is one of New Brunswick’s leading tourist areas.
